NBA is back, and so is grumpy old Coach with his opinions on the good bad and ugly of the reboot. To pay tribute to the restart of the MLB, we did a fun segment at the end to give you a look into how scary Coach's memory actually is :) 

On the cusp of the NBA Restart from the Bubble in Orlando, Coach takes us from the near-past up to the present through the dominance (and eventual destruction) of The Golden State Warriors. 

Coach covers the New Big 3 era of the Heat from 2011-2014, their battles with Dallas and San Antonio, and how the NBA should handle the delicate season restart in the Covid hot-spot of Florida.

Coach takes us through the innerworkings of the epic trade that gave Boston 3 first-ballot Hall of Fame players and lead them to their first championship of the new century. 

This is one of my favorite episodes and makes me exceedingly proud to be related to our indefatigable and well-versed cohost. The only way we move on to a just future is if we all do our part, especially the white folks.

Coach and Tone are back with a continuation of the great Playoff Review, this time wrapping up discussion of the much-anticipated Last Dance documentary with a historical breakdown of each playoff series through what Coach refers to as "The Dark Ages" of the NBA. 

Coach and Tone finish the mini-series on Sam Jones, the unsung hero alongside Bill Russell on one of the most prominent dynasties American sports has ever known. 

This ep is even more Coach-Healy-centric than usual. Coach provides an in-depth look at the life of Celtics legend Sam Jones as told in the book Ten Times a Champion by Mark Bodanza. Listen on for some amazing anecdotes that underscore the courage and brotherhood that it took to survive as a professional athlete in a segregated society. 

Coach and Tone break down the great NBA Playoff battles of the mid-80's, the rise of the Nasty Boys, the beginning of the Dark Ages, and the rise of Jordan. 

Buckle up because Coach Healy just unleashed a 30-for-30 in the making. How this week's topic has not been made into a documentary yet is beyond me. Coach spotlights the legions of outstanding players to grace the NBA from historically black colleges. This was a really interesting episode and shed a lot a of light onto an often unsung corner of NBA history. 

Coach and Tone are back with a Coach Healy specialty: a look back into the annals of NBA history, when the league teetered on brink of failure in the late 70's and was saved by two bright young stars who would define the style and image of their era: Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. 

This is the first installment of a multi-part series, covering 1979-1985.

Coach and Tone remember recently departed NBA Commissioner David Stern, discuss why the Celts have everything they need to make a deep run this Spring, and who really had the best draft of 2019.
